SLOTTED CASES FOR ‘SMALLER’ FRAMED PAINTINGS, PRINTS AND DRAWINGS

CONTAINER STRUCTURE A wide range of types and styles of slotted cases are available to lease and or purchase, ranging from our lightweight ‘Wiltshire Range’ ( Fact Sheet 5) to heavier duty ‘Island Range’ ( Fact Sheet 2). Whatever the method of construction all KSL slotted cases are fitted out with insulation and cushioning to safely protect the objects during transportation, both within the UK or internationally.
INSULATION AND CUSHIONING All leased slotted cases are lined with plastazote to all faces. Polyurethane foam is fitted to the base and lid to give insulation and cushioning as appropriate to the objects being transported. Individual slots for each framed object are constructed using polyurethane foam and plastazote so providing complete stability and additional insulation for each object. Individual slots are identified with the customer specified title or exhibition number of each object. |

IDENTIFICATION Each container is fitted with internationally approved warning labels and lender specified identification labels. Softwood battens are stencilled with ISPM 15 Forestry Commission mark FC0462 on both faces as appropriate and in accordance with the International Wood Marking Scheme.
