NEW DESIGN — Supersedes all previous information This type of container has been designed to meet the requirements of UK internal loans providing good environmental and shock protection and being lighter and of lower cost than some other types of container within our range.
Suitable for two-dimensional objects such as drawings, paintings and smaller/lighter three-dimensional objects.
Containers are constructed using a heavy-duty triple wall fluted fibreboard assembled by folding with softwood framed ends or sides depending on the style. The lid will be an integral part of the container hinging from a fold in the material being softwood framed and secured with captive screw fasteners.
All joints will be sealed with a high performance silicone sealant and the outer surface protected with one coat of polyurethane varnish. Webbing strap handles are fitted to ends or sides as appropriate to the style.
Each container is lined internally with a basic insulation layer of Plastazote (expanded polyethylene) of 12mm (nominal 1/2”) thickness.
Cushioning material will be of density, type, area and depth to suit the weight, fragility and dimensions of the object(s) being packed.
Each container is fitted with internationally approved warning labels and lender specified identification labels.
