ISLAND RANGE 'SPECIAL' WOODEN CONSTRUCTIONS
|
|
CONSTRUCTION These containers are constructed from high grade quality plywood with softwood battens. They are assembled with wood screws and sealed with a high performance silicone sealant. Each container is lined internally with a basic insulation layer of Plastazote (expanded polyethylene) of either 24mm (nominal 1”) or 50mm (nominal 2”) thickness, dependent on the size of the container. Cushioning material will be of density, type, area and depth to suit the weight, fragility and dimensions of the object(s) being packed. Each container is finished externally with polyurethane varnish. Each container is fitted with internationally approved labels and lender specified identification labels as appropriate. APPLICATIONS Style 50 Conventional plywood battened construction with lids or sides removable, secured with captive screw fasteners. Lined and fitted out to suit customer requirements. Style 51 This unique container is designed and manufactured in a range of sizes to provide safe and easy access (for packing and unpacking) for heavy, awkwardly shaped objects such as Busts, Sculptures and a wide sepctrum of other heavy fragile objects. Access to the container is made by removing the front panel, which is secured with captive screw fasteners, and undoing the single captive fasteners on each side. This then allows for the top cover to slide off the base, completely exposing the object for easy removal. The object sits into a suitably shaped handling tray cushioned into the base of the container and which can be removed complete with the object for transfer to display or storage area. The containers are fitted with skids for fork lift or trolley movement. Spring-loaded surface fitted handles can be incorporated if required.
Style 52 This container has been designed primarily for the movement of large objects such as Figureheads, Sculptures or similar objects.
Access to the container is made by removing the front panel and lid which are secured with captive screw fasteners.
The object is positioned on to a sturdy platform which can be slid from the container for removal complete with object for transfer to storage or display area.
